My quest to read more this year is still continuing. Today I finally got “Blackbird” (I read about it in a Roger Allam interview and was intrigued) and since it’s a play and rather short, I read it completely.  I liked it a lot, I think I will suggest it to my professor for my oral finals in English Lit.
However, I cannot quite imagine Roger Allam in the role of Ray, in my mind he’s Douglas Richardson, and that’s not compatible with this book. I would have loved to see it on stage though.
